Statutory Sick Pay from 6 April 2026: What Has Changed

From 6 April 2026, Statutory Sick Pay is payable from day one of absence. The three waiting days are gone.
The lower earnings limit has been removed. Every employee qualifies regardless of earnings, paid at 80% of normal weekly pay capped at £123.25.
